The Gold Camp Victorian Society honors the history of the “World’s Greatest Gold Camp” with our program of “Giving Back.”

We help local historical non-profit organizations with direct and in-kind donations.

Here are some of the non-profit organizations in and around Cripple Creek that we support:

  • The Historic Butte Theatre

  • Teller Historic Environmental (THE) Coalition

  • The Olde Homestead House Museum

  • 2024 Donkey Derby Days Celebration

  • The Two Mile High Club (caretakers of the Cripple Creek Donkeys’ since 1931)

  • The Cripple Creek District Museum

We also sponsor several well-known historical events that directly promote the City of Cripple Creek:

  • History Comes Alive! (Saturdays at noon in the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

  • Ambiance on the Red Trolley (Free historical tours on the Red Trolley, Saturdays at 1:00 pm in the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

  • Mt Pisgah Speaks (Annually, the second weekend in September)

  • Fall Festival Historical Tours of Cripple Creek (Annually in October on Saturday at the Cripple Creek Fall Festival)

Our members can be seen frequently around town as townsfolk dressed in Victorian attire and our beautiful parade float can be seen in our local parades as well.

We love to add the charm of yesteryear to all of our local Cripple Creek events.
