The Gold Camp Victorian Society “Gives Back” to the City of Cripple Creek

 The Gold Camp Victorian Society of Cripple Creek is proud to announce it’s 2024 sponsorship of the Cripple Creek District Museum. Recently, our members presented $1000 to the Director of the Cripple Creek District Museum, Mr. Bill  Burcaw, for our annual sponsorship. We look forward to a long and lasting relationship with the Museum.

Cripple Creek District Museum Donation

The Gold Camp Victorian Society honors the history of the “World’s Greatest Gold Camp” with our program of “Giving Back” by helping to fund local historical non-profit organizations and by directly promoting the beautiful City of Cripple Creek.

 

We donate thousands of dollars every year to worthy non-profit organizations in and around Cripple Creek:

  • The Historic Butte Theatre

  • Teller Historic Environmental (THE) Coalition

  • The Olde Homestead House Museum

  • 2023 Donkey Derby Days Celebration

  • The Two Mile High Club (caretakers of the Cripple Creek Donkeys’ since 1931)

  • The Cripple Creek District Museum

 

We also sponsor several well-known historical events that directly promote the City of Cripple Creek:

  • History Comes Alive! (Saturdays at noon in the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

  • Historical Trolley Tours of Cripple Creek (Saturdays at 1:00 pm in the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

  • Mt Pisgah Speaks (Annually, the second weekend in September)

  • Fall Festival Historical Trolley Tours of Cripple Creek (Annually in October on Saturday at the Cripple Creek Fall Festival)

Our members can be seen frequently around town as townsfolk dressed in Victorian attire and our beautiful parade float can be seen in our local parades as well.

We love to add the charm of yesteryear to all of our local Cripple Creek events.
