Our Mission

The Gold Camp Victorian Society endeavors to educate the public about the Victorian era of the “World’s Greatest Gold Camp” by our attention to authenticity in clothing, manners and ambiance activities.

We also support some of the historical non-profit organizations in and around Cripple Creek.

  • The Historic Butte Theatre

  • Teller Historic Environmental (THE) Coalition

  • The Olde Homestead House Museum

  • 2024 Donkey Derby Days Celebration

  • The Two Mile High Club (caretakers of the Cripple Creek Donkeys’ since 1931)

  • The Cripple Creek District Museum

We also sponsor several well-known historical events that directly promote the City of Cripple Creek:

  • History Comes Alive! (Saturdays at noon in the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

  • Mt Pisgah Speaks (Annually, the third weekend in September)

Our members frequently appear as townsfolk dressed in Victorian attire at many area events. Our beautiful award winning parade float is also featured in many local parades as well. We love adding the charm of yesteryear to local.

Please contact us at
