Gold Camp Victorian Society members participate in many events in the communities of Victor and Cripple Creek. We march in the parades and appear in Victorian attire. Our presence at events helps to lend an authentic historical ambiance.
The Gold Camp Victorian Society exclusively sponsors and produces several annual events. These events are original productions and are open to the public. Visitors to the gold camp sometimes travel long distances and make reservations far in advance for our authentic events. Each of our events is unique and is designed to celebrate the Victorian era in the gold camp surrounding Cripple Creek and Victor. Our members enjoy giving others the opportunity to enjoy the Victorian experience firsthand.
After all the hustle and bustle of marching and acting and organizing fun events for the public, the members of Gold Camp Victorian Society love to relax and enjoy some special times together. Our members and their guests are invited to come together several times each year to get to know each other better. These events include excursions such as historic train trips, luncheons featuring interesting stories about Victorian characters and their escapades, and trips to historic destinations in Colorado and the region. The members-only events are focused on having fun and building friendships. Gold Camp Victorian Society funds are not used to pay for our members’ participation in these events.
